FAQs on Gondola Shelving
What's the difference between a gondola starter and the add-on unit?
The gondola starters are meant to be used at the beginning of an aisle. It has two upright units that are connected back-to-back and offer plenty of versatile space for various shelving options. The add-on gondola unit only has a single upright back and can't be used as a standalone unit. It only connects to the gondola starter unit.
Do all your gondola shelving units come with casters?
Only some of our retail gondola shelving units come with casters by default. However, we also offer a gondola mobilizer kit, which allows you to easily move any gondola shelving unit without much difficulty.
What are end caps in gondola shelving?
Gondola shelving end cap units are the shelves that are placed at either end of an aisle that "caps" off the row of shelves with a special shelving unit that faces outward from the aisle. Use this space as a way to show off sale items or other appealing items that can convince shoppers to enter the space and see more of a specific aisle.
How many dividers and fencing do I need for each shelf?
The answer depends on your available inventory. To accommodate as many items as possible, you will need dividers to give each product its own space. With the gondola shelving accessories, you can create custom sections for each product at will due to the pegboard design, which you can change as needed depending on product availability.
How do the security cases work with the gondola store shelving unit?
The smaller security cases can be attached to the pegboard backing and get additional support by being propped on a shelf that is also attached to the pegboard. Larger cases will take up the entirety of the shelf and are secured on the pegboard. These cases have clear acrylic windows, giving you peace of mind when it comes to product safety while also allowing customers to easily see your prized inventory.
