Standard Orders; Most orders are shipped UPS or common carrier, F.O.B.
Des Plaines, IL 60018. Some orders may be F.O.B. (factory of origin). UPS
freight charges will be added to your invoice. Merchandise not shipped by UPS
will be delivered by Common Carrier, Freight Collect. Most "Dot Com" orders
ship within 24 hours (One Business Day) from receipt of order.
Custom Orders; Please allow between 2-6 weeks delivery for most custom
merchandise depending on the complexity of the product.
Back Orders; Sometimes an item is not in stock on the day you place an order. If you do backorder an item, we will not charge you for the item or the shipping until it ships from our warehouse.
Canadian orders will have Brokerage, GST and Duties added.
Minimum Orders; Orders below $35.00 will be charged a $3.00 order processing fee
in addition to any freight charge incurred. No order below $20.00 will be
accepted. If an order is refused without cause, the customer assumes the
liability for all freight and insurance charges, in addition to a $25.00
order processing fee.
Truck Shipments; Orders that are unable to ship via UPS due to a
dimension/weight limitation, will be shipped common carrier (truck) freight
collect or prepaid. Freight bills are the responsibility of the buyer. Minimum
C.O.D. fees charged by common carriers can range up to 4% of the value of the
order. C.O.D. charges can be avoided by prepaying your order, prior to
shipment, by using a credit card, personal/business check, electronic check
etc... Freight charges are additional and will be collected by the driver.
Truck shipments will not be unloaded by the driver unless pre-arranged and at
an additional fee. Additional fee's are to be paid by the customer.
Lost or Damaged Goods; Multiple package UPS shipments may be separated in
transit. As such, please allow 3 working days from receipt of first package
before calling your specialtystoreservices.com representative to locate your
remaining product or, you may trace your package by clicking on the "ORDER
TRACKING" icon. Claims for damaged UPS shipments must be made directly to UPS
immediately.
Drop Shipments; All drop shipments ship F.O.B vendor location, prepayment
required. Sorry drop ship and custom-made merchandise cannot be returned.
Warning; Any damaged merchandise is the responsibility of the carrier.
Any cartons missing or damaged must be indicated as such on the Bill of Lading
at the time of delivery. The consignee is responsible for reporting missing or
damaged merchandise, and must immediately file a notification for claim with
the carrier.
