Comments about Single Case:
These are good cases, but lately we have noticed a change in the quality of the case. They look like the older cases, but not quite as sturdy. The cases are not standing up to the heavy use they are getting from our library patrons. They are cracking along the spine and at the corners. However the last batch we got, the sleeve on the outside seemed to have more texture to it, making the cases less slippery.
Comments about Single Case:
I believe this is the easiest security system to use in a library. It really cuts down on people being able to take DVDs out of the case. The locking clip really holds. The case is sturdy, doesn't crack or break because of use. I only wish the manufacturer would make a case that would hold more than 2 DVDs at a time. We have to tape cases together to keep the set together.
Comments about Single Case:
We have used these cases for many years now, and they have held up through thousands of circulations. Our theft rate has dropped considerably since we started using the cases with our security system.
Comments about Single Case:
The center piece that holds the DVD in place needs to be better designed, as it easily breaks.
Comments about Single Case:
Many of the cases were damaged upon arrival. The spines are not made properly, and are split apart, as is the plastic cover. These are of no use and have to be trashed. Also, the inside hub breaks on every case, often in the first week of use, causing scratches to the discs. These are of cheap quality. I liked the cases before the design change was made. Now, I am considering changing brands.
