Specialty Store Services was first started in 1987 by Malcolm Finke and Marshall Weinstein. Originally named Video Store Services the company was the brainchild of the two entrepreneurs who saw a need to provide store fixturing needs to the new and rapidly growing video rental industry.

 

With only a few exclusive products such as the "Nu-View" box protector and "Memory Lock" rental case, they entered the industry utilizing a one page brochure to market their ideas. They operated the new business out of Mal's house, using his garage for warehousing.

 

Within 10 years the company moved 3 times and today is located in its fourth and largest location in Des Plaines, Illinois. We are centrally located in a 110,000 square foot building, ready to ship your product when you need it!
